Not sure why we need Megadeth to make any comment on marriage equality. I guess at some point he was relevant and is trying to return. He even refers to it as gay marriage. Where I come from we just call it marriage. I am not going to call our new advertisers and plan my gay marriage. I will call them and expect amazing service planning my marriage. I am happy that sometimes celebrities can use their clout for responsible reasons but most of the time they should just pay attention to their own lives.I don't generally walk around town imagining what other people are doing in their homes or if they whould be allowed to. Why is he?

Marriage equality might be right at our door steps here in Washington. Can you imagine? It is an amazing thought. When I moved back to WA in 2005 I would never have thought. Well coming back from Texas, who could imagine. Yes there are "those" people out there collecting signatures to put it on the ballot. Hmmm if it is a gay referendum should we spell it "ballet"? Heheheheh just kidding. Gov. Gregoire is set to sign Marriage Equality into law Monday, February 13th. So now all the happy boys and girls can get engaged on Valentine's Day. Watch out Tiffany's here we come.Oh by the way, trying to be a good business man please look up all of your Valentine's Day and wedding needs at www.glbtyp.com.

Under a proposed same-sex-marriage law in Washington state, most gay couples now registered as domestic partners would have two years to convert the relationship to marriage — or the state would do it for them.
The law would allow unmarried gay couples from out of state to marry here, and would grant marriage benefits to those in civil unions and domestic partnerships who relocate here — as long as they then marry within a year.
Churches, mosques, temples, synagogues and their clergy may refuse to marry gays, without penalty, just as they're allowed to now. But there are no comparable exemptions for business owners — such as wedding planners, photographers or florists — who are religiously opposed to such unions.
Advocates and opponents of same-sex marriage are picking through the language of SB 6239 and its companion, HB 2516, as they move through the Legislature on an almost certain path to becoming law.
The Washington law wouldn't be much different from those passed in six states and the District of Columbia allowing gay marriage — and it wouldn't significantly change the way gay couples now live.

OLYMPIA, Wash. – The Washington state legislature won’t take up the marriage equality bill until Jan. 23, which observers say has a good chance of passage, but anti-gay forces are already on the attack.
Everett attorney Stephen Pidgeon, who is well-known in the state for opposing gay rights, has filed an initiative that would define marriage as between one man and one woman.
Pidgeon has until July to gather 240,000 valid signatures to get the initiative on the November ballot.
Meanwhile, Pidgeon is using the attention to promote his bid for state Attorney General.
Pidgeon, 57, is a Republican conservative who was the lead counsel on Washington’s Referendum 71, which asked voters in 2009 to approve or reject domestic partnerships that had been approved by the legislature. Voters affirmed the legislature’s decision by a 53.15% to 46.85% margin.
According to Google searches, Pidgeon is another one of those anti-Obama “birther” conspiracy folks and is pitching his book claiming that he has found evidence that Obama changed his name in British Columbia in 1982. Pidgeon has also spoken at Tea Party rallies
